Dear Classmates of '65

Hey-Guess what? The St. Mary's School(Class of 1965), is getting together for a reunion during the weekend of June 24th-26th ,2005. It's going to be great, it's going to be wonderful to see everyone again, and it's going to be so much fun!

Now we know there are those who are already excited about this event-let's call them the "Wow that's great" group. And there are those who are somewhat let's enthusiastic-let's call them the "Well, maybe I'll go" group. And then there are those who will say, "I'd rather go to confession"!

There are a lot of reasons as to why we may want to see people we havent seen in 40 years. What do we have in common now? Most of us are the same exact age. Most of us have gone through the same stages of develelopment. We have had good times and bad times. We've had our fair share of successes and failures. There have been long term marriages, divorces, children and worlwide travel. Some of our children have made us feel great about ourselves; some have made it tough for us to love them; and some have already had their own children. The truth is that many of us still have a lot in common.

There are classmates who are successful, those who have taken the road less traveled, those who have experienced terrible pain and heartache, and still others who just want to see you again and say:" Im so glad that you made it. It's great to see you"!

There are going to be some classmates who no longer take part in the Catholic experience or those who are affiliated with other religious groups. There may even be a few of us who are actually atheists. There might even be more than a few of who use profanity(every now and then). But none of these things makes you a bad person. Wasn't it Jesus who said....."Raised a Catholic......always a Catholic"?

Don't think that if you dont show up for our 40th reunion that it will be a mortal sin. For when you come up to the end of the line and are standing before Saint Peter and those Pearly Gates.....and you don't get the okay to enter.....maybe, just maybe, it will because you failed to make the Saint Mary's Class of '65 40th Reunion!

Please respond today and tell us that you are coming! Even if you can't make it, we would still like to like to hear from you. You're welcome to send a letter so that we can share your memories and/or photos with the rest of our class. The curent deadline to submit your Memory Book information is March 1st, 2005.And remember to add  our 40th reunion to your other great memories from Saint Mary's.

Hope to see ALL of you in June, 2005!

Thanks to Steve Shea and the rest of the reunion committee for the above words of wisdom. I edited it(in a few places) for placement on this website.

Yes boys & girls....its official. the Class of '65  has decided on our three dates & locations to hold our 40th Reunion. The times may change slightly, but as of late October, 2004.....we plan on  celebrating by first......meeting for drinks at the Canal House in Wharton, NJ on Friday,       June 24th (time 8pm-?). On Saturday, June 25th, we will have our major celebration at Rossi's in Ledgewood, NJ(time 6 to 10pm). Then, on Sunday, June 26th we will have a brunch, or tail gate party at St. Mary's School from 11am-3pm. In addittion, classmates are welcome to attend a special Mass at 930am at St Mary's Church on June 26th, 2005. The cost to attend Saturday  night  at Rossi's is .00 per person. As of late October, 2004 there is no extra cost to attend our Sunday get together. Please look for your official invitations to arrive by snail mail, no later than November 30th, 2004!  The best news is that three of our fomer teachers will also be at our 40th Reunion. They are Sisters: Brigid, Mary Agnes & Clarita. So gang, mark your calendars' now to have the time of  your lives during the  wonderful  weekend of June 24-26th, 2005!

Our next committe meeting is scheduled for Sat Jan 15th at the Wharton Library. (11am-1230pm) We still need your help in insuring that our 40th reunion is a great success.
